Sarova Mara Game Camp

  • The Sarova Mara Game Camp is in the centre of the wildlife migration path in the heart of the wildlife-rich Maasai Mara Game Reserve in the southwestern region of Kenya.

The vast rolling plains, which surround the camp, swarm with gazelles, wildebeest, and zebras during the months of the migration.

Due to its ideal location in Mara, this Kenyan safari camp provides different activities ranging from luxury tented living in the bushveld to bird-watching, sports fishing, mini-golf, and unforgettable insight into the culture of the Maasai at the nearby Maasai village.

The camp is located 260 km away from Nairobi which takes about an hour by flight. The drive from the airstrip takes 20-minutes. When driving, the road transfer from Nairobi takes five and a half hours on the tarmac road.

Sarova Mara Game Camp features spacious, luxurious tents which have been built in beige canvas offering windows, as well as wooden flooring and a permanent roof. Three tent types are available which include the Standard Tents, the Club Tents as well as the Family Tents.

These Luxury Tents provide private, en-suite bathrooms with a toilet, cold and hot running water and showers. These tents, which blend in with the natural surrounds, afford spectacular views. Famous for the Great Migration, the Maasai Mara in Kenya is home to the “Big Five” which include lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and rhinos. The lodges profession guides and drivers provide guests with memorable safari drives through this untamed African wilderness in safari Land Rover vehicles.

A once in a lifetime experience is the hot air balloon safaris during which participants fly over the vast, treeless plains of the African savannah affording a different way to admire the wildlife from above. These hot air balloon safaris take off when dawn breaks early in the morning to fly high above during sunrise.

Isokon Maasai Cultural Village is a real showcase of Kenya’s Maasai culture where visitors interact with the Maasai people and learn how they do wood carving and beadwork.

Fresh ingredients from the camp’s herb and vegetable garden make for gourmet meals which are served in this remote safari setting. With its tasteful and imaginative cuisine, guests enjoy unforgettable dining experiences at the Sarova Mara Game Camp.
